This essay about INITIATION and secret society/mystery religions documents Francis Bacon’s methodology for the invention of modern Science, Freemasonry and William Shakespeare so as to create the British Empire. It’s The Strangest Story Never Told. It’s a wild ride and evidence exists for all of it. What started me down this road was discovering the fact that Shakespeare was provably NOT THE REAL AUTHOR OF THE PLAYS. But why create such an elaborate hoax as the First Folio? It was to become the most influential secular book of all time! The entire introduction to the book of 36 plays is an elaborate lie, a ‘simulation’ to use the language of Bacon. The hoax had to be connected to the origins of the English Empire. Connected they were - by British Intelligence. Francis Bacon, surprise surprise, was heavily involved in the origin of British Intelligence, with Francis Wasingham, William Cecil, his brother Anthony Bacon and the doomed Earl Of Essex. It’s all really crazy, and it’s all really true. The claims made herein may seem outlandish, but the evidence that Bacon was head of a group that wrote the Shakespeare plays is simply overwhelming. His connection to British Intelligence is proven. Their fantastic success with the First Folio makes the Shakespeare Hoax the mother of all hoaxes. Bacon created a new form of Gnosticism: Scientism

INTRODUCTION: Gnosticism is an elitist and ancient religion, perfect for British Royalty and gentry, as Gnostics believe true gnosis is only achievable for the very few. Holding strongly to a belief that the world as a prison, crafted by a demiurge to entrap human souls, Gnosticism leads to various types of antinomian behaviour under the rubric of Dualism: typically, either extreme rejection of the world or extreme attempts to reform or conquer the world. These attempts must be hidden because they are criminal and opposed by the vast majority. Techniques of subertuge, occultation and veiling were highly prized and fully mastered by Bacon and his associates who were at the origins of British Intelligence. Bacon’s terms were ‘simulation and dissimulation’, the title of an essay from his famous book of essays. His most famous simulation was the creation of William Shakeseare as the greatest poet of all time.

Tudor London was a city dense with spies, super-saturated with espionage, and of a creative espionage unlike any ever known. Bacon and his brother Anthony were at the center of it, both born into the very elite of of the Tudor power structure. Writing Shakespeare under a pseudonym is just one of Bacon’s many occulted accomplishments. He also invented modern Freemasonry, a secret society devoted to keeping secrets, in the same manner as the ancient Mysteries of which The Tempest is an allegory.

We know Francis Bacon as the “father of modern science’ but we also know he was Gnostic, a seeming contradiction. We know of his Gnosticism for many reasons. Gnostics are elitist, as was Bacon. Bacon professed that he wrote for adepts, initiates and those already imbued with secret knowledge.

Bacon often used the phrase “confused matter”, to describe physical world, meaning that something is wrong with creation, which is the core principle of Gnosticism. He wrote ““Ignorance is the curse of God, knowledge is the wing wherewith we fly to heaven” a veritable Gnostic credo. In his celebrated book that kick started modern Science, Novum Organum, Bacon wrote of the “empire of man”, stating his belief that man could “conquer the universe”.

“But if a man endeavour to establish and extend the power and dominion of the human race itself over the universe, his ambition (if ambition it can be called) is without doubt both a more wholesome thing and a more noble than the other two.” [Spedding Novum Organum, page 114]

This is pure modern Gnosticism and surely amounts to covert war, because if one wants to conquer the universe, it is a simple truism that one must first control the planet. The British Empire thus became a necessity.

This path forged by Bacon led him to create modern Science in such an effective way, using his Freemasons, that eventually very many of us were slowly turned into unconscious members of the Gnostic Church Of Scientism. ‘Trust In Science’ replaces ‘Trust In God’. Bacon’s famous New Atlantis (1626) envisioned this reformation of the world, and is an astonishing prophecy of today’s looming technocracy. Incredibly, this included a push from the Shakespeare plays and poems, as will be explained below. Gnosticism and Freemasonry are shot thru the Shakespeare plays. Here’s one example from Hamlet:

• “Denmark’s a prison…A goodly one; in which there are many confines, wards and dungeons, Denmark being one o' the worst.”

The British Empire was Bacon’s vision of the Rosicrucian’s goal: reformation of the whole world. “Reformation of the whole world” is the very first sentence of the first Rosicrucian Manifesto, the Fama Fraternitatus, understood by many to have been written by Bacon, and in another act of occultation, published in German and first released anonymously by German associates, most likely Michael Maier. The Fama soon made a profound impact all over Europe and it is the first appearance of transhumanism. Rosicrucians, by the way, are largely regarded as proto-Freemasons.

The glue of the early British Empire was Freemasonry and Shakespeare. The earliest modern Freemasonic symbols are found in Shakespeare and in Bacon’s writing on Science. In my next piece I will be presenting this evidence in detail.

It is hard to believe that one person could have accomplished so much (Bacon was also a prominent lawyer, served as Attorney General and a privy Council statesman as well). As a boy Bacon had received the best education imaginable in the culture of British nobility that greatly prized education; he had access to large libraries and plenty of leisure. He was extraordinarily precocious. (See The Mystery Of Francis Bacon pg 21) His life remains largely undocumented (besides law school) from the ages of 18-45, because he purposefully kept from view. He was a spy, hello. As for known employment he was involved only in the very modest Parliament of his day that sat for only a couple weeks a year. He did not yet practice law. These are the exact years, by the way, that the Shakespeare plays were written. The best biography of Bacon is by William Smedley, an American artist who eventually aquired 1,500 of Bacon’s books now at the Folger Library. His “The Mystery Of Francis Bacon” is a must read. It is known that Bacon kept a stable of writers at an estate called Twyckenham Park, a gift from Queen Elizabeth, to whom he served in an unpaid position as “counselor extraordinaire” his only other known work until he was in his 40’s. The Shakespeare Project became a group effort that went right to the top of Elizabethan London. His uncle was the super-powerful Secretary of State William Cecil, Lord Burleigh. It was very early British Intelligence. Man about the theater, William Shakespeare of Stratford, was a capable front man.

British exceptionalism and nationalism was codified and magnified by the Shakespeare Myth, the rags to riches commoner turned greatest-ever-dramatic and poetic genius, who came to London from nowhere Stratford-Upon-Avon. This mother of all hoaxes was propagated by the fraternity of Freemasons who, able to read the esoteric symbolism encoded in the plays, as fraternity brothers bound together by blood oaths, would be obligated to spread the plays world wide. And so they did and so do they still.

British exceptionalism does not believe in the Christian-inspired idea of a human family of equals, living together under Natural Law. Quite the contrary. Antinomian Gnostics scorn the law, though they enjoy making them for those of us lesser beings. Freemasons consider all non-Freemasons to be 'profane'. Shakespeare is always crass about commoners in the plays. Just sayin’. Bacon was born in the purple, next door to the Queen herself. Rumors were strong even then that he was her secret son..

Two streams of Gnosticism infected Bacon’s genius which he forged into the new religion of Scientism. Mithraism is the oldest stream. Mithraism, is a “mystery religion” and to join it would had to partake in a series of violent initiations. It originated in ancient Rome with some symbolic influence from Zoroastrianism, and was very popular with the military and merchant class. Mithraneum’s have been found all over Europe and England. Mithra was a sun god. We will return to Mithraism shortly.

The second Gnostic stream was from the Knights Templar, another militaristic initiatory organization, who will be touched on only peripherally for now. More on them here. As the initiations of Mithra secret, with still much unknown about them, so too Bacon concealed meanings and messages in his writing, and even admitted to doing so in his famous book on science and knowledge De Augmentis Scientiarium 1623, published the same year as his and Ben Johnson’s First Folio, the most influential secular book of all time. He called his enigmatical writing the “acroamatic method”.

The Tempest: Shakespeare as Initiation

Shakespeare’s play The Tempest is actually an allegory of initiation into a mystery school based on the Eleusinian Mysteries. Colin Still painstakingly details all the evidence in his remarkable“Shakespeare’s Mystery Play: A Study Of The Tempest”, published in 1923. Colin Still's shocking theory influenced ‘poet of the century’ T.S. Eliot and a few others but was generally ignored.

The Tempest is the lead play in the First Folio, the book Bacon and Ben Johnson compiled of 36 Shakespeare plays in 1623, now called the “most important book ever written in English”. Every single college in America has a professor of Shakespeare studies. Almost all high school children are forced to read Shakespeare. In effect, we have all been initiated into Shakespeare. Producing the Shakespeare effect- a multi layered imprinting molding nation(s) unconsciously.

The Tempest: Prospero Fabricating Reality

Simultaneous with Shakespeare, Bacon set in motion the tidal wave of modern science, of which the impact on the world is impossible to overstate. Bacon is seen by historians as a starting point to the Age Of Enlightenment, because of his advocacy for scientia, Latin for knowledge or gnosis. Because of Bacon, who liked to be called by his gentry name Lord Verulam, the world’s first scientific body formed in London, The Royal Society, by Freemasons. Peter Gay in his classic two-part The Enlightenment calls Bacon “the patron saint of the enlightenment.”

The name “Age of Enlightenment” comes directly from the religion of Freemasonry. Freemason’s call themselves “Sons Of Light”. They promise Enlightenment to their initiates. The Enlightenment Room (Room #1) of the British Museum is a massive monument to men obeying Bacon’s call to Science and the use of inductive reasoning to ‘gather data’. Thus, an astonishing number of books full of observations, along with crates of artifacts were brought back to London from every single area of the globe and they now fill massive Room #1, but you won’t find Bacon, nor a single mention of Freemasonry, because the Hidden Life is Best. You will find however, two life sized sculptures of Mithra the god of Light.

Professor Harry Levin states in Bacon’s Poetics “…[Bacon’s] overwhelming symbol is the primordial image of light...". Bacon constantly referenced “light’ in all of his writings, including of course, Shakepseare. From New Atlantis, the book that prophesied technocracy:

• "For several of our fellows sail into foreign countries, under the names of other nations, for our own we conceal, who bring us patterns of experiments of all other parts. These we call merchants of light.”

The British Empire in it’s present form is clearly seen today: England established the state of Israel- and secretly supports it more than any other nation. This is purely geo-political strategy although building the Temple of Solomon is a primary symbol in Freemasonry.

Empire has been gunning for Russia for at least 200 years and is the main force for the NATO war. The US war machine supplies the materiél. No longer the British Empire it is the Anglo-American Empire. This Theater Of War is shaping up to be Empire’s first loss in many decades, after a spectacular run through a successful (for England) WW1 and WW2. Russia has failed to collapse. But again, the conflict threatens to create WW3.

Front And center Is Scientism

Empire’s most important battle and Empire’s true crusade is in carrying the banner for the religion of Scientism, the faith-based belief in Science. Scientism is the belief that science can differentiate right from wrong and solves all of humanity’s problems, while truly knowable only to high priests- the scientists and their journalist propagandizers; the belief that the methods of natural sciences should be used for philosophy, the humanities, and the social sciences. Scientism is a humanitarian cover for tyranny as we saw with covid lockdowns and the dark propaganda of “Carbon footprints” from the science-based, fear based global warming hoax that so many fall for because they have become unconscious members of the Church Of Scientism. It’s the Shakespeare Effect if you will. Scientism = Tyranny.

Shakespeare and Science are connected: Science is Fortinbras. Hamlet gave Fortinbras the keys to the kindom with his “dying voice”, in the scene that ends the world’s most famous play. (Fortinbras means ‘Strongarm’). All the Shakespeare plays leave you feeling uncertain, increasing the compulsion to turn to the “strong arm” of Science and compulsively accept and create a technocratic government as illustrated in New Atlantis, Bacon’s ultimate goal, but global. All the plays are anti-populist and support Monarchy and strong man politics. This is a standard understnding by Shakespeare scholars. They are Machiavelli by subterfuge. They implant a sense of dread that instinctively sends one craving strong arm leadership. (This is a separate essay where I will illustrate this idea via an examination of the plays. See Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet at thehiddenlifeisbest.com) The modern ‘strongarm’ is now become Science, because of the ingrained belief proferred by what can surely be described as theater that Science itself is somehow “enlightened”, is somehow Truth. The most modern of Myths. It is not. It is just Science.

Understanding the truth about the source of the British Empire requires a a new view of human potential, a rewriting of recent world history with an awareness of the illusionist secret methodologies used to create it. Bacon was always cryptic, always writing in code, always, as he himself admitted, writing for adepts, for initiates.

Shakespeare, no exception, is full of coded messages: Macbeth is not a story of oversized ambition, it’s the story of a mind controlled assassin creating chaos, making the English army the hero of the play, creating order out of the chaos all begun by “intelligencers’ as the witches were called. HUH>. Where have we seen that before. Is it not instead an illustration of technique for Empire extension? “Fair is foul and foul is fair” as preached by the intelligencer “Wyrd sisters” that starts the play is a literally the core of Gnosticism.

In Romeo and Juliet, Friar, the Catholic priest scientist/alchemist in Machiavellian Verona ruled by, you got it- The Prince- precipitates a double suicide/sacrifice that brings peace to Verona via a golden statue of Juliet. Got social alchemy via ancient human sacrifice? It’s actually a horror story of social alchemy, with very little romance and way more lust than love. One has to go through the play scene by scene but once seen it can’t be unseen. It’s a popular play on Valentines Day. There’s a deep element of mockery in that fact.

Think chaos agent, demon-possessed Hamlet, handing the reins of the kingdom to Fortinbras, or “strong arm”. Think power achieved via deception and chaos. The similarities between Macbeth and Hamlet are many. Prospero achieves complete and total control of everyone on the island with a tremendous power that remains unseen by anyone else. He is the hierophant of initition and head technocrat. His powers could all be proferred by science. Meanwhile the play is also an allegory of colonization and imperialism. I did mention the writing on 3 or 4 levels at once.

It’s Not The Enlightenment

This is a tough story to hear. It’s enormous, convoluted and painful. Finding Shakespeare and Science to be Gnostic is like finding that while you grew up, your father molested your sister in the bedroom next to yours.

Shakespeare Gets In Your Head

Science is a two faced friend, much less the saviour we have unconsciously come to believe in, as in “Trust the Science, Science Will Win!”. We must all become aware of the false claims of bad science. We must become science-literate, and expose the hidden narratives and sinister powers science avails to the elites: surveillance, censorship, false health claims for power, and thought control. “Knowledge is Power” is Bacon’s most famous quote. And fake knowledge expertly propagandized, by the very theatrical Science of lying, the very heart of espionage and Bacon’s specialty becomes real power if we buy into it. This world will fully become Baron Verulam’s New Atlantis if we don’t get hip to the fake Science. Trust me, you don’t want to live there.

Secret Initiation: Mithras and Eleusis

• The great struggle of politics is the battle between the Elite and The Commons, between tyranny and liberty. Mithraism and the Gnostics take the side of the elite, while the Mysteries of Eleusis took the side of the commons.

SECRET INITIATION is the key to Freemasonry and to understand it we have to go back to the ancient mystery schools, which are influences on Freemasonry as even Freemasonry claims. In typical Gnostic fashion, Masonry has many, many influences. Let’s look at the two most important and influential Mystery schools and their initiations - that of Mithra and that of Eleusis- both of which contribute to “the Craft’s” esoteric symbolism, occult doctrines and great success, and see how they compare to Bacon’s Freemasonry.

Initiation originated in the distant past and exists in all societies, throughout all of history. Initiation aims to mold an individual into a functioning member of a particular society. There are many different types of initiation. Often done at puberty, with contemporary examples being Confirmation in the Catholic church and Bar-Mitsva for Jews, both of which are not done in secret. College Fraternity and Sororities hold initiations of a different sort. Initiation is a big topic which will be far from fully discussed here.

Initiation is a form of mind control, which is not always entirely a bad thing.

We find crucial distinctions between Mithraism (really a religion rather than simply a mystery school) and the Eleusinian mysteries, and those distinctions exist in their initiations.

In Athens, at Eleusis, women and commoners were allowed to participate in the Mysteries. Each person was initiated only once, at the same time and along with large numbers of others in ceremonies that were semi-public. Mithraism, in contrast, widespread throughout the Roman Empire, was for men only. The initiations were multi-leveled and ongoing, and completely hidden, taking place in caves and caverns, exactly as in Freemasonry, multi-leveled ongoing initiations in lodges that have no windows. In the cult of Mithra one would be initiated many times, moving up the ladder, and be a participate in the initiations of others many many times, the same as Freemasonry. In other words, the mind control was constantly reinforced. This was not the case at Eleusis.

Mithraism was created by the Roman elite, closely connected to the military and the merchant class exactly as was Freemasonry originally. It’s primary symbolism is Sun worship and light, the same as Freemasonry and Francis Bacon. Archeological evidence found in Mithraneaums suggests human sacrifice occurred. [Buckert]. The peak initiation in Mithraism was the sacrifice of a bull, the blood of the bull would pour down over a single initiate. Eleusis, in good contrast, is earth centered, female centered, and associated with rebirth and reunion with no evidence of human sacrifice ever found. There was one bull sacrificed publicly to end the mass initiation as part of a huge public festival.

Eleusis, by the way was connected to an unprecedented epoch of beauty in art, philosophy, music, medicine and political freedom.

The very name ‘mystery’ comes from Mystai, the Greek word for high initiate.

Mithraism was widespread in England because of the Roman Army and a Mithraneaum has been found in central London that has been recently restored. They have even recreated what they think a ceremony there might have been like. Hmmm….

I have found evidence that the Eleusinian Mysteries, dedicated to Demeter and Persephone and beloved of Aeschylus, Plato, Cicero, and Marcus Aurelius, became corrupted by Gnosticism, specifically the Gnosticism of the Mithraic variety.

Initiation Can Be Positive

About the Eleusinian Mysteries, Roman senator Cicero, legendary defender of the Roman Republic against dictatorship, wrote this:

“For among the many excellent and indeed divine institutions which your Athens has brought forth and contributed to human life, none, in my opinion, is better than those mysteries.

“For by their means we have been brought out of our barbarous and savage mode of life and educated and refined to a state of civilization; and as the rites are called ‘initiations,’ so in very truth we have learned from them the beginnings of life, and have gained the power not only to live happily, but also to die with a better hope.” (Cicero, Laws II, xiv, 36)

The mysteries of Eleusis contributed to the making of the unprecedented golden age of Greece with the outpouring if not the origin of philosophy, new areas of mathematics, democracy, epic poetry, medicine as a teachable art form, public theater, music theory, athletics (The Olympics), extraordinary architecture and astonishing sculpture and Science. The Eleusinian Mysteries were highly influential in forming Christianity and highly influential to today’s Hellenized Judaism, all via the influence of Greek philosophy which was highly influenced by Eleusis. Greek “logos’ became Christian “Logos” or Christ. The overall influence of Eleusis must be seen as a key contributor to Christianity.

The antithesis of Eleusis was the mystery school of Mithras. Beyond a personal sense of salvation for the individual the benefits of Mithraism went to the power elite. To Empire. Mithraism was Gnostic. Eleusis was not.

Gnosticism Teaches That A Human Being Can Become God

Gnosticism sounds so crazy that it can’t possibly be real, yet it is the source of Bacon’s outsized inspiration and enormous ambition. Gnosticism is enjoying a hipster resurgence, as seen in many movies (Truman Show, The Matrix, etc etc) video games and blogs. Gnosticism has been sugar-coated by books like Elaine Pagel’s famous The Gnostic Gospels.

Gnostic ideas align well with fashionable thoughts about the world as a simulation, or as a parallel universe, or as an entirely fabricated, elaborate conspiracy. Gnosticism teaches that a human being can become God. I think that’s what happened to Baron Verulam.

Modern Gnosticism creates the mad-scientists. Bacon and his new form of Gnosticism made the ancient Gnostic religious sects more than goofy but sinister piles of creation stories and magic rituals. Instead of the classic gnostic myth of the the human light-soul (the only good thing on Earth) escaping at death past gatekeeper archons, using secret Gnostic passwords (the gnosis!) as given by Serpent Jesus, so not to be reincarnated back here on Earth, Bacon created a Gnosticism of Science, where one could escape death and stay here on Earth. He hatched a plan to wrest the planet away from the evil demiurge, with Rosicrucian transhumanism.

Bacon’s Science is the new El Dorado, and he’s got millions of believers looking for it, just as his pal Sir Walter Raleigh did, sailing off to the Azores, looking for the City Of Gold and the Fountain Of Youth.

Some scholars consider Gnosticism to be at it’s root an attempt to understand the philosophical “problem of evil”. The thinking of a Gnostic goes like this: ‘If there is evil in the world then the creator must be evil’. It’s that inane but it does lead to fantastical creation myths of a jealous Sophia creating an evil Ialdobaoth that resulted in all the evil matter of the world. So Put The Blame On Mame boys.

It’s a brain numbing scripture, a “bury them in bullshit” form of sophistry and rhetoric of the world as a prison- by design.

Gnosticism represents a major rupture in the timeline of and the history of world religions. Some scholars equate Gnosticism’s emergence 2000 years ago with Jewish anger and disaffection resulting from the Roman destruction of the Temple of Solomon in 70 AD. No coincidence that symbolic construction of the Temple is central to Freemasonry. It’s no longer however, a Temple to God, it’s a Temple to Man. A slight difference. It’s a Gnostic inversion. This fact is hidden to most Freemasons who are decent good people. That’s how good the Bacon is. Look at how many have been fooled by his Romeo and Juliet!

Gnosticism Creates An Antinomian Mindset

Some of the more ancient religions practiced human sacrifice as part of their fertility rituals. The sacrifices were meant to propitiate a good, but often angry, punitive god. Human sacrifice evolved into animal sacrifice. Ancient Judaism, practiced animal sacrifice in a big way, with many burnt offerings to a sometimes angry creator God. These sacrifices were practiced until Rome destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD, as Solomon’s temple was the location where ALL the sacrifice had to be carried out. The sacrificial rituals were meant for worship and hope for a better and a good life in a good world. Without these sacrifices Judaism was in a sense hollowed out, and it became a religion not of priests at the Temple but of Rabbinism, which can often mean Kabbalah and Talmud, some of which is sketchy, certainly not all of it. GNOSTICISM INFECTS THE MYSTERIES

I have found some of the historical moments where the transformation of a socially positive mystery school initiation like that of Eleusis became a purely Gnostic mind control operation, like that of Mithraism- with Mithraism now closely linked to Freemasonry/Templarism and the hidden Empire of Science.

The myth of Aphrodite and Venus is one of the oldest religions and most important myths of ancient Greece. It is also the first poem that Bacon published under the name William Shakespeare, in 1593. Only Bacon, known to be homosexual in his day, turns the ancient myth of a passionate love affair of the two most beautiful demigods ever, Aphrodite (Venus) and Adonis- into a story where Adonis refuses to have sex with Aphrodite. In the original myth Adonis and Aphrodite have a passionate affair before Adonis is killed by a boar, descends to the underworld only to be reborn by Aprofite’s pleading to Zeus. In the Shakespeare version Adonis strangely turns Aphrodite down, completely altering an ancient myth, a myth that was more than just myth. It was for some time a religion.

Adonis and Aphrodite is a closely related myth as the core myth of Mesopotamia- that of Tammuz and Ishtar. Tammuz became Adonis. Adonis is also Adonai- the Hebrew name for God. This is a BIG MYTH. Adonis is a dying and rising god with many profound levels of meaning. This is the very short version of the myth tha centered an entire religion in Ancient Greece: Adonis was a lover of the goddess Aphordite (Venus) when he is killed by a boar. Aphrodite, distraught, pleads so intensely with Zeus that Adonis is allowed to live again.

Bacon inverted the myth. Adonis refuses to sleep with Venus in his famous Shakespeare poem. They do NOT become lovers. He’s now a homosexual is how I read it. Only a homosexual could resist mighty Aphrodite. Bacon himself becomes the god- he becomes Adonis. Hiram Abiff of the Freemason’s 3rd Degree is really Adonis, and so every Freemason becomes Adonis theatrically.

Shakespeare’s Adonis was described as “rose-cheeked” and the classical scholar, W.F.C. Wigston, tells us in his Bacon, Shakespeare and the Rosicrucians (1888) that “Adonis was the key figure or myth centre round which the society of the Rosy Cross and their emblem revolve” (p.87). That emblem is a Cross adorned with a Rose.”

These are the very transhumanist Rosicrucians who promised a “reformation of the whole world” in 1610. And they were completely right. The world changed, a New World Order, A Brave New World happened.

Gnostics of certain sects like the serpent worshipping Ophites forbade intercourse with women as it would being new life to the planet, the planet that they believed to be a prison.

The Knights Templar were forbidden to have relations with women but sex with each other was encouraged. The militaristic, male only Knights Templar share many similarities to Mithraism and are the second Gnostic source of Freemasonry, echoed in Adonis’ refusal to engage with Aphrodite in Bacon’s poem.

Sex and death are intertwined in ways that Bacon found amusing- and which he illustrated in Romeo and Juliet, where sex keeps company with violence throughout the play. Bacon scorned romantic love in his philosophical writings as well. In his essay “On Love” he writes, speaking of love, that “great spirits and great business do keep out this weak passion”. “That it is impossible to love and to be wise”, and “for whosoever esteemeth too much of amorous affection, quitteth both riches and wisdom”. He opines similar elsewhere in his writing. And as we know women are forbidden from Freemasonry.

I have been stunned by the overt hatred of women that is found in many of the Shakespeare plays. This myth of the murder of Hiram Abiff- is born from the older Mesopotamian myth of Tammuz and Ishtar, the original Venus and Adonis, except in Mesopotamia the spectre of human sacrifice lingered..

As such, Human sacrifice is still alive (no pun intended) symbolically and as we will see, quite literally. There on page 235 of “Who Was Hiram Abiff?” by Bro. JSM Ward (the Bro. part means he is a “brother” Freemason) is part of an explanation of the history of the myth of the dying and rising god that formed the core of the mystery religions of Babylon, the Levant, Greece and Rome.

The Manicheans mentioned in the last line are Gnostic and have links to the Templars.

Freemasons call themselves “Sons Of The Widow” because their Master Mason degree, is a highly theatrical recreation of the death of the “Masonic Christ” Hiram Abiff who is referred to by JSM Ward as “our hero”. Hiram Abiff, according to Freemasonic legend, was the architect of the Temple of Solomon, referred to in the Bible as Hiram of Tyre, the craftsman sent by Hiram King of Tyre to help build Solomon’s Temple. Tyre was a city in Phoenicia (present-day Lebanon) where it is known that human sacrifice was practiced.

Hiram is confronted by three disgruntled workers who demand the secret password- and Hiram refuses to give it up and so they murder him. In the initiation ceremony for Master Mason- the 3rd degree, the candidate for initiation is ritually murdered (recreating the murder of Hiram Abiff) then buried, then “raised” by his brothers who find his body. The body is then re-buried. This ceremony also mirrors the story of Osiris, the Sun god of ancient Egypt, whose penis adorns Washington DC and also stands on the banks of the Thames mere steps from Bacon’s childhood home next to Whitehall palace in London. Always remember that Bacon wrote on 3 or 4 leves at once. Adonis, Osiris, Hiram, Bacon. Especially in Shakespeare.

This is a complicated scenario and the meanings are many-layered. JSM Ward makes a strong case that the Freemason Hiram Abiff, who every Freemason symbolically becomes, is Tammuz/Darmuzid (Adonis) who was sacrificed to Astarte/Ishtar (Aphrodite) every single year in the “killing of the king” ritual. His blood sacrifice (he was specifically sacrificed by castration 😳) fertilized the ground, mimicking water/rain, as an agricultural fertility ritual.

The sacrificed king is then reborn as her son. The king is both husband and son of the goddess. Thus the Freemasons, in their 3rd initiation BECOME A GOD, they become Sons Of The Widow. But the Goddess seems absent from Freemasonry and from Mithraism and from the Templars. (I am hearing rumors however, of a Black Madonna) A Freemason will repeat this initiation over and over again, as a theatrical performance as new victims I mean members are initiated. The Eleusinian initiation happened only once or at most twice, but twenty years later.

So…Tammuz (Adonis) (Adonai is a name God of the Hebrew Bible) is also a "Son Of The Widow”, and the yearly sacrificial cycle repeats itself. The king was sacrificed for both the fertility of the Queen and the crops. This ritual of actual death- they actually once sacrificed the king - slowly evolved until by the era of the ancient Greeks, plants would be a substituted for a human, and the plants were simply left out to die in the sun to represent the death of Adonis. This is the tradition that led to Eleusis. The death of Adonis was symbolized by dying plants and he was wept over by the priestesses and followers of Aphrodite as a religious festival.
