Francis Bacon, Science, Freemasonry, Knights Templar, Shakespeare and Empire
An Introduction To The Strangest Story Ever Told
The evidence is in folks: mainstream, documented evidence that Freemasonry originated in Scotland. This blows away yet another British hoax wrapped in the seductive allure of mystery. The hoax to which I refer emanates from the world headquarters of Freemasonry, the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) in London. This self-described "social and charitable organisation" states on it's website "the roots of modern Freemasonry are the subject of intense speculation".
This used to be true but now it's a lie.
The truth about the origins of Freemasonry is important, as the truth always is, because Freemasonry has been shown by recent scholarship to be not only essential, but to be the actual core of the creation of the British Empire and today’s ‘globalist’ movement. Nothing comes close to the importance of the British Empire for impact and influence on world events over the last four hundred years, up to and including events of the present day, like war in Ukraine, the mysterious unified hype and response to the global pandemic and all of the Zero-carbon initiatives to a manufactured global warming crisis.
Jessica Harland-Jacobs' brilliant BUILDERS OF EMPIRE: FREEMASONS AND BRITISH IMPERIALISM 1717-1927 (Princeton 2012), shows Freemasonry to be the origin of Globalism, the philosophy of which is embedded in the very beliefs and teachings of the Craft. She presents this evidence in painstaking detail.
In THE ORIGINS OF FREEMASONRY: SCOTLANDS CENTURY" (Cambridge 1990), by Douglas Stevenson, from the University of St. Andrews, Freemasonry's Scottish origins are patiently and thoroughly documented.
Despite a massive influence on the course world history, Freemasonry has largely stayed off the radar of professional historians. Reasons for this lacunae are discussed in both Harland-Jacobs "BUILDERS" and Stevenson's "ORIGINS"
Evidence has continued to pile up that these early Scottish Freemasons have provable links to the descendants of the fugitive Knights Templar. Long the subject of rumor, links between the outcast heretical Gnostic Knights and "the Craft", as Freemasonry is called, have always brought strenuous, official rebuttals from the upper echelon at UGLE.
My interest in this issue of global importance was sparked by the claims of some writers and biographers that philosopher Sir Francis Bacon helped to create modern Freemasonry. As an obsessive researcher into his life (my podcast about Francis Bacon is here) I went looking for the evidence to support these allegations. I've been gone for some time, but I made it back and this essay is my report. It also serves as an introduction for my new Substack page, as such it will be partly a review for my regular listeners.
Welcome to the life of Sir Francis Bacon, Baron Verulam, Viscount St. Alban, the strangest story ever told.
The ‘Hilliard Portrait’ of 18 yr. old Francis Bacon, on which the painter Nicholas Hilliard wrote “If I Could Only Paint His Mind”
Bacon can be proven to have been involved in every single aspect of the founding of the British Empire. Like Freemasonry itself, the outsized role of Bacon’s impact on the shape of our current world has remained mostly hidden. Cultural engineering much?
This essay consists of four parts: you are reading Part 1.
1: Introduction: Francis Bacon, Freemasonry, Science and Empire
2: The Evidence: Freemasonry Began In Scotland.
3: The Rumors Are True: The Knights Templars Became The Freemasons
4: The Third Degree: Francis Bacon Creates Modern Freemasonry in London
Often describing itself as a “fraternal organisation making good men better", Freemasonry actually fits every definition of a religion, and a gnostic religion at that.
Freemasonry announced its existence on June 24, St John's Day 1717 in London claiming it began with King Solomon and Hermes Trismegistus. Others (and many Freemasons to be fair) are of the opinion that no one really knows Masonry's origins, and this included the great historian of the Renaissance Dame Frances (no relation) Yates.
Freemasonry, amongst other aspects of this religion, has functioned as an elaborate espionage network. Bacon was extensively involved with British Intelligence his entire life. British mastery of spycraft began with Bacon and continues to this day, though its glory days are fast fading given its many recent blunders. They now appear to be bereft of mad genius, leaving just the madness.
At the age of fifteen Francis (no relation) Walsingham sent Bacon overseas as an agent specialist in cryptography . Bacon had recently left college without a degree, publicly announcing his desire to create a new philosophy challenging that of Aristotle and Plato! While working in France at this tender age he invented a highly admired method of cryptography called the bi-lateral cipher that some claim is a precursor to computer code. It's certainly quite similar.
This French connection proves interesting: Scotland and France were allies, both countries being historical enemies of England. A French noblewoman was actually Queen regent of Scotland. Many noble families in England were of French origin (think Norman Invasion). Queen Elizabeth was at the time negotiating potential marriage with the Duke of Anjou. Frenemies were these three nations, and all the surface tension was merely froth, hiding deeper bonds that would reveal themselves in time, especially with Freemasonry. The Templars originated in France. Just sayin’.
Knowledge Is Power: The Origin Of Modern Science
Bacon is best known as the philosopher credited with creating modern Science, this being the fruit of his wild ambition stated at the age of fifteen, and a result of books of philosophy he wrote much later in life. One of these books is the highly prophetic "NEW ATLANTIS".
The Royal Society of London, the world’s first scientific body, acknowledges Bacon as their inspiration. it still exists and is quite influential to this day in the scientific world, and of course the scientific world now has a huge influence on the whole world. In fact the Royal Society recently gave widely publicized awards to two vaccine scientists involved in the massive, world encompassing Covid scare. More to come on that.
Freemasons Were At The Birth Of Modern Science
Freemasons were present at the inaugural meetings of the Royal Society circa 1640-1660, this being previous of course to Freemasonry’s official beginning in 1717. Freemason and Scottish spy Robert Moray was there (for some reason) as was an expert in the early science of finance, as was Sir Christopher Wren, architect of St.Paul’s Cathedral.

Obsession With Data Originated With Bacon
Baron Verulam, or Vicount St. Alban as Bacon preferred being called after James I raised him to the gentry, is famous for coining the phrase “Knowledge is Power”. He meant this phrase imperially. As a result, Britain soon became the most technologically advanced nation in the world. The Industrial Revolution began in London. New technology allowed England to “rule the waves”. All this was due to the influence of Verulam.
Bacon was hot for Empire and the Empire needed data. Sound familiar? The modern obsession with data collection is traceable directly to Bacon and his anti-Aristotelian “method of induction” for transforming Science.
It also triggered the Age of Enlightenment. Becoming “enlightened” is what Freemasons are told they will become as Freemasons. Coincidence? Not Likely.
Freemasonry is careful when to and when to not call attention to itself. Image control being the heart of espionage. As an example, there was not a single mention of the organisation in Room 1, the Enlightenment Room of the British Museum, a room that is a literal homage to data collection, clearly inspired by Bacon and named by Freemasonry- yet there was not a single mention of either the Craft or of Francis Bacon in this enormous room. Meanwhile the world center of Freemasonry, the absurdly over built massive marble temple of UGLE stood less than 10 minutes walking distance. Incredible. Hiding in plain site much?
The Strangest Story Ever Told
What makes this the strangest story ever told for reals is that Francis Bacon has been rumored for over 400 years to be the real William Shakespeare. It is by now well known that the real William Shakespeare did not write the plays. Functioning as a a front man, he could probably barely read. As an investor in the Globe(!) theater and a part time actor, he was an ambitious businessman about town from faraway Stratford who knew how to keep his mouth shut for few quid.
Burying myself in extensive research on this topic for many years I can state confidently that Bacon’s authorship of the Shakespeare plays is undeniable. More precisely, he oversaw a group - the Shakespeare Project- as an effort of British Intelligence. The Empire would not have happened without Shakespeare. All The Evidence You Need To Know Bacon Was Shakespeare
Did I Not Say Strangest Story Ever Told For Reals?
Science, Freemasonry, Shakespeare, Statesmanship, Espionage and a deep understanding of the power of narrative techniques and occult mind control (on display in Macbeth and the Tempest) created the greatest empire of all time. Freemasons were early and enthusiastic promoters of Shakespeare plays. Bacon, master of propaganda (as the 10 Shakespeare history pays are now widely acknowledged as Tudor propaganda -see The Lost King) incredibly, created new myths for new men, for a new Empire.
This is the key point, and I slog thru history books in order to understand it: The Empire is now attempting their next-level growth phase, trying to establishing supra-national global, technocratic “science based” ruling bodies, creating forms of corporate feudalism strangely similar to the Tudor system where the corporation actually began. This attempt uses science-y threats of killer viruses and a looming climate catastrophe as pretext and justification for their complete control.
This sort of “scientific autocracy" was prophesied by Francis Bacon in his fable “New Atlantis”. Just sayin’.
Science Has Become A Religion
Belief in science as of supreme importance and even as the saviour of humanity has become so pervasive that Science has in fact become a religion. This is exactly as planned by Baron Verulam. Both for the Empire and for "the dominion of the human race itself over the universe" (Novum Organum, 1620)
As Dr. Hans Schantz, scientist and AetherCzar at Fields and Energy quipped, “Bacon did not invent Science, he invented Scientism”.
The previously mentioned great writer and historian Dame Frances (no relation) Yates in her book THE OCCULT PHILOSOPHY IN ELIZABETHAN ENGLAND calls it “British Scientific Imperialism”. Professor Howard White calls it “Francis Bacon’s Intellectual Imperialism”.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is promulgating a global pandemic treaty, calling for global rules "science-y" rules that supersede national sovereignty - British scientific imperialism. London is still the center of Science. In order to protect British Science from all other science, the United Nations (UN) is calling for a global end to freedom of speech, again superseding national sovereignty. Only British Science will be allowed.
Both the WHO and the UN have traceable roots to the UK, meaning roots in Freemasonry and it's globalist agenda. The near complete mainstream world-wide corporate media acquiescence to the Covid lockdown and baxxine agenda using “science” could not have occurred without a shadow organization behind the scenes laying such corporate groundwork for many years, gaining control over the already consolidated media, scientific and entertainment industries.
British Freemasonry is the only organization remotely capable of pulling this off.
Bacon’s “The Advancement Of Learning” 1647 Edition. Masonic Much?
Freemasonry’s origins in Scotland have been purposefully obscured. It is just not very sexy to think your secret society originated in the Orkney Islands. How much hotter is it to to think King Solomon started it 3,000 years ago with help from Hermes Trismegistus, the great sage of Egypt and contemporary of Moses? Now that is a unit to which you’d want to be a member, to which you could even dedicate your life. As with joining the “warrior monk” Knights Templar back in the day, joining Masonry would require blood oaths obligating you to absolute secrecy. But that’s cool, because this mysterious ancient organization (from King Solomon!) was going to educate you, enlighten you, improve you, supply a friend group, and fatten your wallet with business connections all the while being fully dedicated to helping ALL OF HUMANITY!
Pure bloody genius.
When Queen Elizabeth I died, Scottish King James VI, a descendant of Henry VII, became King James I of England. There and then, born in spirit was the British Empire, to be formalized a century later in letter. Great Britain, without a birth certificate, conceived in coitus with modern Freemasonry. There is evidence that James I was a Freemason by the time he was crowned King of England.
The famous “Rainbow(!) Portrait” of Elizabeth I. Got Serpents, Eyes and Ears?
America began as the Virginia Colony Corporation at Jamestown, Virginia (named for the virgin Queen Elizabeth). Bacon was deeply involved with this first successful overseas venture. He sat on the board and was an investor in the corporation, one of the world’s first, which Bacon helped to formulate. Jamestown is where black African slavery began in America, which was perfect for the factories soon to blossom in London, arguably the origin of big money capitalism.
Considered to be one of the greatest lawyers in British history, The Great Boar was very close to Queen Elizabeth, served as statesman, Solicitor General, Keeper Of The Great Seal, Lord Chancellor and Regent under James I. Bacon wrote many books, was a garden designer, did some science, wrote masques and poetry, and even designed his thirteen year old wife’s wedding dress when he finally married at age forty five. Unfortunately for his wife (or fortunately) he was homosexual. No children ensued from their union.
Bacon and freemasonry will be explored in detail in part 4. For now:
A Short Background On The Knights Templar:
When the French King Phillip along with Pope Clement V had all the French Templars arrested at the same time to be interrogated and put on trial in 1307, the Templars were an extraordinarily wealthy and powerful organization with landholdings and operations spread throughout Europe. They were a supra-national Catholic order of monks who were also soldier Knights, answerable only to the Pope. They had taken a vow of poverty (and chastity) yet became extraordinarily rich, and apparently were subtly ot not so subtly encouraged to have sex with each other but were forbidden women. Their given task was to defend pilgrims journeying to the Holy Land after the First Crusade had conquered Jerusalem in 1099. They were also to defend the short-lived Kingdom of Jerusalem and other Crusader states of Outremer. They needed large support systems as the knights required a lot of resources to outfit. Chased out of the holy land by various Muslim armies when Acre fell in 1291, the Templar monks had failed as warriors yet prospered as businessman. Their accomplishments as an organization are legendary. One of these accomplishments being that of the invention of modern banking. Just sayin’.
There were also strong rumors that The Templars had absorbed the Ophite gnostic occult doctrines of the Ishmaili Assassins during their two centuries in the Middle East and that they were pretend Christian and were in reality practicing an antinomian religion. The evidence for the truth of these rumors will be forthcoming in Part 3.
Ophites Worshipping the Serpent. The “Ophite Bowl”
When the French king imprisoned all the Templars in France, Scottish king Robert The Bruce had previously been excommunicated, meaning the Pope’s edict accusing the Templars of heresy and calling for their immediate arrest carried no weight in Scotland. Some French Templars escaped and fled to Scotland for safe haven, joining Templars already living there. There are no records any Templars ever being arrested in Scotland, and only two Templar arrests ever took place in all of England despite an enormous Templar presence there. All Templars were bound together by the blood oath previously mentioned- requiring strict secrecy and loyalty. Blood oaths, loyalty and absolute secrecy are only three of the many, many similarities between the Templars and the Masons.
Later when Robert the Bruce’s excommunication was lifted by Pope John XXII the edicts against the Templars took force and all Scottish Templars had to be very, very careful. Secrecy became of even greater importance. Should a Templar be identified they were to be arrested, imprisoned and have all their property seized. Thus they disappeared. What became of many of them became a mystery, though some were absorbed into society, some by joining the still legal Knights Hospitallers, still in existence today as The Knights of Malta, a sovereign order with their own passports but no country! Many were burned at the stake in France.
The situation for the Templars after the Vatican crackdown was unique to each country where they resided. Portugal never restricted them at all, they just changed their name. Is this connected to Portugal becoming the world’s first Global Empire? The knights not only rode war horses, they also sailed mighty fleets of war ships, masters of the sea(!) These ships largely vanished.
Now 700 years later, because some researchers went looking in the right places, at least part of the Knights Templar origin of Freemasonry has been solved.
Freemasons Were Huge Promoters Of Shakespeare
The sun has still not set on the British Empire, with its financial system, its news, language, music, sports, entertainment, legal system, science, system of government and secret society well established all over the planet. The Empire is still growing though this fact is largely hidden. The Hidden Life Is Best when you want global control. The British Empire is the story of the last 400 years, and it was built to a large degree with the religion of Freemasonry and it's unique lodge system. These lodges were huge promoters of the religion Shakespeare. And the Enlightenment religion of Science. Coincidence? Not likely.
Francis Bacon started three religions from behind a curtain.
"MENTE VIDEBOR" -- "By the mind I shall be seen." Peacham’s “Book Of Emblems” cover (1612) A reference to Bacon? Bacon's muse was known to be Athena/Minerva.
"Beside in all wise humane Government, they that sit at the helme, doe more happily bring their purposes about, and insinuate more easily things fit for the people by pretexts, and oblique courses; than by downright dealing. Nay (which perchance may seem very strange) in things meerely naturall, you may sooner deceive nature than force her ; so improper and selfeimpeaching are open direct proceedings ; whereas on the other side, an oblique and an insinuating way, gently glides along, and compasseth the intended effect. "
"Dissimulation is a compendious wisdome."
ABOVE QUOTES ARE FROM: "Of The Advancement And Proficience Of Learning; or, The Partitions Of Sciences· Nine books. Written in Latin by the most eminent, illustrious, and famous Lord Francis Bacon Baron of Verulam, Vicount St. Alban, Councellor of Estate, and Lord Chancellor of England 1647
As for the "warrior monks" well, going by the adage, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, smells like a duck and tastes like a duck then it’s a duck (that’s real science right there for you bro) then as we shall see, with utmost confidence we can declare that the Knights Templar became the Freemasons in Scotland.
The ramifications of this event are endless.
